Established in 1965, the Essex County Chapter of the National Football Foundation is intimately involved in amateur football in the North Jersey area. Covering n. counties, n. high schools and n. colleges, the Essex County Chapter is a visible presence throughout the year. Led by Ramapo High School athletics director Ron Anello and a team of dedicated volunteers, Essex County chapter hosts several NFF programs and is a shining example of the NFF in action.

On Wednesday, March 9, the Essex County chapter's 51st Annual Dinner recognized Essex County high school football players for demonstrating academic achievement, football ability and school leadership.

In the photo above, Verona High School senior football Captain David Gautieri is pictured with VHS Head Football Coach Lou Racioppe.
